About me
When I am not tromping around the desert or the tundra, looking for permafrost and hiding from mosquitoes, I can often be found floating down a scenic river, skiing down a mountain side, or riding bikes. Prior to starting graduate school I spent several seasons working as a raft guide in WV and a ski instructor in both CO and WA and I still try to practice those skills as much as possible. I also greatly enjoy traveling in order to learn more about the people and ecosystems that make this planet beautiful.
